About the Board

Our Directors are collectively responsible for the success of ID Genomics. In addition, the Non-Executive Directors are responsible for exercising independent and objective judgement and for scrutinizing and challenging management. The Board is responsible for setting our strategy and policies, oversight of risk and corporate governance and monitoring progress towards meeting our annual plans. It is accountable to our shareholders for the proper conduct of the business and our long-term success and represents the interests of all stakeholders. Members of the Board and their biographies are shown below.

Evgeni Sokurenko, M.D., Ph.D.


Dr. Evgeni Sokurenko is the Founder of ID Genomics, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience conducting, generating funds for, and directing microbiology, biochemistry, and epidemiological research. He provides scientific leadership and manages ID Genomics’ scientific collaborations. Dr. Sokurenko is a professor of Microbiology at the University of Washington, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1999. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in the area of bacterial pathogenesis and multi-drug resistance, and is a co-inventor of ID Genomics’ technology.

Frederick Huntsberry

Frederick is a highly experienced C-level executive & strategic thinker with significant experience in finance and operations, most notably serving the entertainment, manufacturing & service industries in NA, Europe & Asia. Prior positions include the COO of Paramount Pictures and President of NBC Universal Television Distribution.  Frederick currently serves as a Director on several Boards and brings his financial and operational wisdom to ID Genomics.

Mansour Samadpour, Ph.D.

Dr. Samadpour is the President of IEH Laboratories and Consulting Group (IEH), and Molecular Epidemiology, Inc. (MEI).  He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Microbiology and a Ph.D. degree in Food Science and Technology and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington.  After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Samadpour served as faculty at the University of Washington until 2003.  In 2001, he founded IEH and MEI, which now have 130 ISO certified laboratories nationwide and are the largest players in the food and water safety testing industry.
